The phrase Candy AI videos covers two different things. The first is Candy Shorts: scripted series that Candy.ai generates with AI and publishes itself, each with an opening, a twist and a closing hook. You watch them. The second is the generator. Premium is where the plans page files Generate 18+ Videos, beside 18+ images and the option to create your own AI girlfriends. That one is a tool, and you hold the camera.
A clip on TikTok or Instagram does not tell you which kind you are looking at. The official accounts on both use the handle trycandyai, and the episodes play on Candy.ai, so read a clip as a trailer. On the platform itself a Short sits under a series title, with numbered episodes and an ending. Candy AI series are the first kind of video, the one you watch, and the rest of this page treats them that way.
Candy AI video you can watch: the Shorts, measured
The numbers explain the format. The catalog counted 164 series on October 19, 2026, and new titles keep arriving. Five episodes was the standard length, and the median free episode ran about 63 seconds. The player uses a tall 9:16 frame meant for a phone in portrait mode, and it carries subtitles in six languages, from English to Portuguese.
As television it plays like a telenovela cut into installments: a quick setup, one turn, and a cut at the sharpest moment. I opened the free episodes on a free account, in the browser, with no installer step. On regular series the free pair showed no nudity or sex scene, though some lines run frank. Which Candy AI video should you start with?
If you want a story, open a Short. If you want to build your own, that is a Premium decision. The two meet when an episode ends: the end card can propose a conversation with its lead, and that is where a Candy AI video becomes a Candy AI chat. Can you make a Candy AI video yourself?

I rate the Shorts on this site, not the generator. The plans page lists the feature, not a demo, and a verdict built on a feature name would be a guess. What I can point to is the rulebook. The July 30, 2026 Blocked Content Policy covers text, images, video and other AI content on the platform, and the March 6, 2026 Community Guidelines also bar removing the metadata or labels that mark content as AI-made. Does Candy AI have an app?
Yes, as a shortcut, and by design. On September 24, 2026, the plans page offered a Get App option with instructions for installing from the browser. The steps are short:
- Open the plans page in your phone's browser and use Get App for the instructions.
- iPhone owners tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.
- Android keeps the same command in the browser menu.
- Launch the new icon and head for the Candy Shorts section.
The result is a shortcut to the same site, not a file. That explains why the series pages of September 24, 2026 had no download button, and why right-click and picture-in-picture are switched off in the player. The Candy AI Shorts app, as people call it, is a loose name for that shortcut: the Shorts are a section of Candy.ai, reached through the site or the icon. Watch first, generate later
My order of operations is simple. Open a free account, play the free pair of one series on your phone and keep the shortcut if you like the format. On a regular series the Shorts need no chat, no generator and no money until episode 3. The generator is a separate purchase decision, and the Premium list is the place to judge it.
