Copyright Notices and DMCA Takedown Requests

This page is for rights holders and their agents. The text dates from October 19, 2026.

What the site hosts

Candy AI Shorts Guide is a review site. It publishes text, and it shows series posters and titles for identification and review. It hosts no episodes and no video files, and its links go only to official Candy.ai pages. A copy of an episode that you find elsewhere on the web is not on this site.

How to send a notice

Send your notice through the contact address shown in the footer. A notice under 17 U.S.C. 512 should contain these six items:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you say is used without permission.
  2. The URL of the page on this site that holds the material, so it can be found.
  3. Your contact details: name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
  4. A good-faith belief, put in writing, that neither the owner, its agent nor the law has authorized the use.
  5. A declaration that the details in the notice are accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you hold the right or have authority to act for its owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

A notice that leaves items out takes longer to review, since I may need to write back and ask. Send one notice per work where you can, with the URLs listed beneath it.

What happens after a notice

The site reviews each notice it receives. When the notice is complete and the claim holds up, the material is removed or disabled, and the sender is told. If it is not clear that the use is a problem, for example a poster shown beside a review, I may write back with questions before I decide.

If material was removed by mistake

Anyone who believes a removal was an error can write to the same address. Send your contact details, the URL involved and the reasons you think the material was removed wrongly, and the request will be reviewed.

Episodes on Candy.ai and other sites

If your complaint concerns an episode on Candy.ai itself, it belongs with Candy.ai, which publishes its own DMCA Policy among its legal documents. For copies of episodes on video sites or file hosts, the notice goes to the site that hosts the copy. This guide explains where such copies come from in its piece on full episodes on Dailymotion and YouTube.

Accuracy of notices

A notice that misstates the facts can carry legal consequences for the sender. Check the work, the URL and your authority to act before you send it. The terms and the disclaimer describe how the rest of the site works.
