Emma goes looking for her boyfriend and finds her best friend with him, which ends the evening and starts a war that runs for 34 episodes.
A Season-Finale Betrayal in Minute One
Most breakup stories save the betrayal for the second act. This one opens on it, so the rest is consequence. Emma's perfect life ends in a single night, and the setup piles a secret rebound, an unexpected pregnancy and a web of lies on top. It is a telenovela engine built to turn heartbreak into a campaign. At 34 episodes, My Bestie Betrayed Me was the longest series in the Candy AI Shorts catalog on October 19, 2026, a serial in a format of one-minute sketches.
Episodes 1 and 2: A Search, an Excuse and a Parting Shot
On a free Candy.ai account I watched both episodes in order, and together they run about two minutes. Episode 1 is a search. Emma hunts for Ryan, certain he has to be upstairs, and what she finds draws a profane reaction I will not quote. The boyfriend opens with the oldest line in the genre, that it is not what it looks like, and begs her to wait. The clip ends on a one-word shrug: "Oops."
Episode 2 moves to the next day. The boyfriend pleads for a hearing and blames Mia, who was drunk and made the first move, then swears it was meaningless. Somebody asks Emma how she is after looking so upset last night, and a warning follows that making a scene will get her nowhere, since her word carries no weight. Emma closes it out with a line to Mia: "Keep him. He's exactly what you deserve." The free pair stops there.
Heat Check: All Confrontation, No Skin
My call is heat 4, Steamy, and it is a bet on the 32 paid episodes, because the free pair is pure confrontation: no nudity, no sex, just a catch, an excuse and a verdict. With that many episodes behind the paywall, the rating has plenty of room to be earned. The scale behind the number is spelled out in our heat guide.
Who Is Who: Emma, Ryan and Mia
Emma is the lead, and her name is said in both episodes, first by someone begging her to wait and then in the plea to listen. Ryan is the boyfriend, a name called out while she searches for him. Mia is Emma's best friend in the setup, and Emma names her in the closing line of episode 2. All three are original characters; no creator twin sits behind this Candy Shorts story.
The Bill for the Longest Run: 384 Tokens on Candy.ai
Only two of the 34 episodes are free, and the other 32 cost 12 tokens each, a total the price box on this page puts at 384. That is a serious sum for a story you have seen through one betrayal and one next-day argument. My verdict: judge it on Emma's exit line. If you want to see what she does with the rest of the war, the long run is built for you, and if you need a payoff inside the free pair, it does not offer one. Read what a free login covers first, and the Candy AI Shorts pricing breakdown before you commit to a sum this size.
Want a shorter betrayal? Caught Between Sisters puts a photo and a sister in the middle of 15 episodes, YES MA'AM is the next longest serial at 30, and The Maid of Honor finishes its wedding in five. More Candy Shorts stories are in the series reviews.
