A stranger knows a bastard knight's name, his ambition and exactly how many lords refuse to kneel to him.

A Crown With a Counting Problem

Think of a prestige fantasy boiled down to a negotiation. In this Candy Shorts story, Ser Garrick is a bastard knight with a throne in reach on paper, a deadline the setup puts at seven days and seven lords whose knees he needs. A witch offers to supply them. The arithmetic suits a serial, because each episode can cross off a lord.

Episodes 1 and 2: Two Lords Down, Five Nights to Go

My source was the English subtitles of both free episodes, read from a Candy.ai account; each lasts about a minute. Episode 1 opens on a halt-and-identify challenge, and the stranger shows right away that the knight's name is no secret: Ser Garrick, a bastard who will not be crowned. He tells her to speak plainly, and she gives the count: "Seven lords must kneel. Two already have. Five spit on your name." He says he will win them with his sword. She calls him a stable boy, says she would like to watch him try and adds that he would make a beautiful king.

Then she names a time and a price: come to her at moonrise and submit to her will, and by dawn a lord will kneel. A voice breaks in with the news that the hunt is turning back, and the episode ends on that interruption.

Episode 2 begins after he has come to her. She is unsurprised, and he tells her to name her price, calling her witch. The price is a night for each lord who kneels: five lords, five nights. She says she does not want his soul, just him. When he asks what happens if he refuses, she answers that someone named Haldan will laugh at his coronation, that the crown will go to the queen regent's pick and that he will stay a knight. "What will a man trade for a crown?" she asks.

Word arrives that the queen regent has sent riders into the wood to find him. He shrugs off the search, and the witch tells him to send his squire the wrong way, because tonight he will see what a crown really costs. Each episode is built like a negotiation scene: offer, price, threat, interruption.

The Price Is Spoken, Not Shown

My rating is heat 4, Steamy, a score the first pair does not explain. Neither episode shows nudity or sex. The nights she asks for remain terms in a contract, spoken and left there. At Steamy the paid Candy Shorts stretch leans on explicit scenes, so the contract is plainly meant to be honored on screen. Our ladder of heat levels covers the rest.

A Knight, a Witch and a Court in the Dialogue

Ser Garrick is the bastard knight. The English captions of episode 2 spell the name Garet, and I use Garrick, the spelling from episode 1. The witch has no name in the free pair, and he simply calls her witch. The queen regent, a squire and someone named Haldan come up in conversation, and the seven lords are numbers for now. No licensed creator twin plays a part here, and the cast is made of original AI characters.

Buying the Ending: Three Episodes, 36 Tokens

Candy.ai prices each of the last three episodes at 12 tokens, which makes 36 as of October 19, 2026, and the full-run box agrees. For the series that open with no payment, see our guide to what a free account unlocks; for Premium, the pricing guide.

My verdict: this one is for Candy Shorts viewers who like court politics played as a negotiation. Pass if you need the story to move before the paywall, because the first pair stays in conversation. For another gap in rank, Sworn to the Queen swaps the witch for a queen and a guard, and YES MA'AM stretches a power play across basic training and 30 episodes. More titles wait in the series reviews.

Your questions, answered

Is The Witch Who Made Me King new on Candy Shorts?

Yes. It carried the New badge on October 19, 2026, and it was one of five titles the catalog added in the three days before that check. Five episodes in all: two open to a free login, three at 12 tokens a piece.

What does the witch ask for in exchange?

Her price in this Candy Shorts fantasy is a night for each lord who kneels. In episode 2 she counts five lords and five nights, says she wants him and not his soul, and warns that refusing leaves him a knight and the crown with the queen regent's pick.

Who is Ser Garrick?

He is the bastard knight at the center of the series. The English captions spell his name Garrick in episode 1 and Garet in episode 2, and I use the first spelling.

Is there any nudity before the paywall?

No. Episodes 1 and 2 stay in conversation, and the bargain is stated in words. The explicit material sits behind the paywall, as the Steamy score indicates; our nudity guide explains what Candy AI Shorts shows.
